I’m the recipe developer, food photographer and blogger behind Maya’s Kitchen Daydreams.
I’m a professionally trained pastry chef, a total baking nerd, and a cosmologist!
In 2014, I attended pastry school at Le Cordon Bleu, where I studied pâtisserie and boulangerie (bread!). At the end of the term, I returned home to the US to start my PhD in Astrophysics (my current day job!). Although I love my job, I really missed cooking every day, which is why I decided to start this blog!
The recipes in this blog focus on small scale baking and desserts for two. Alongside the cakes and pastries, expect to see plenty of sourdough bread recipes and some of my favorite brunch dishes.
